From Bronze to Silver: Aligning Ambition with Recognition
Mesterflyt is an ambitious Danish moving company with a clear commitment to sustainability. Over the years, the company has invested significantly in decarbonising operations, strengthening governance structures and formalising ESG initiatives.
To ensure their EcoVadis score accurately reflected this progress, Mesterflyt partnered with Alba Project Group — resulting in an improved rating from Bronze to Silver.
Background
As part of their strategy, Mesterflyt chose EcoVadis as a tool to both communicate their sustainability performance externally and systematically track progress over time. Since their previous EcoVadis assessment, Mesterflyt had further strengthened their sustainability work across climate action, responsible business conduct and internal policies.
Mesterflyt actively integrates sustainability into their business strategy and sees it as a competitive advantage. It was therefore important that their EcoVadis score clearly reflected the work already carried out and could serve as a strong differentiator in customer dialogues and tenders.
Our Approach
Alba Project Group completed a structured EcoVadis optimisation process for Mesterflyt with the objective of maximising the recognition of their existing sustainability work.
During the process, we:
- Reviewed all existing policies, procedures and ESG initiatives
- Identified areas where existing documentation could be strengthened or more clearly aligned with EcoVadis criteria
- Structured and completed the full EcoVadis questionnaire, including sections that had previously been left unanswered
- Incorporated additional documentation from the employee handbook, Code of Conduct, supplier agreements and ESG report
- Developed and formalised CO₂ reduction targets
- Supported the validation of the climate targets with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
By combining insight into EcoVadis methodology with Mesterflyt’s strong operational foundation, we ensured that their sustainability progress was fully and accurately represented within the platform.
The Result
Following the updated submission, Mesterflyt improved their EcoVadis rating from Bronze to Silver.
The improved score reflects:
- A strengthened climate strategy with science-based targets
- Formalised governance and responsible business conduct policies
- Clear documentation of sustainability initiatives across the organisation
Today, Mesterflyt’s EcoVadis rating better mirrors their sustainability ambitions and strengthens their position with customers who rely on transparent and comparable ESG performance.
